David Sproxton and Peter Lord co-founded Aardman in the late '70s and have guided the studio to its present day position as a world leader in 3D stop-motion and CGI animation. Their multi-award-winning productions are novel, entertaining, brilliantly characterized and full of the charm that reflects the unique talent, energy and personal commitment of the very special people who make up the Aardman team. The studio’s stop-motion work is often imitated and yet the company continues to lead the field, producing a rare brand of visually stunning and amusing commercials, feature films and television series for an international market. Aardman has been nominated for an Oscar® seven times and has won three.

Their second feature film Wallace & Gromit Curse of the WereRabbit is currently in post-production and is due to be released worldwide in September 2005.

TV viewers in the US will be very familiar with the Chevron speaking cars & Serta Mattress campaigns which are still fresh on television in the US. In the UK, their latest CGI TV commercials for Robinsons and the BBC Digital plus the BBC 3 “Blobs” Channel idents are receiving much critical acclaim.

Lost Planet is not your ordinary creative editorial company. Drop by the Santa Monica or New York locations on any given day and you’ll probably hear hip-hop music blaring from one of the edit rooms or see a huge German shepherd dog running around the space while clients come in and out of sessions. Lost Planet is where people come together, stories are shared and creativity flows.

Established by Hank Corwin in 1988, Lost Planet features the editorial talents of Paul Martinez, Geoff Hounsell, Charlie Johnston, Andy Grieve, Saar Klein, Elisa Bonora, Kim Bica and Jennifer Dean. Betsy Beale serves as Executive Producer of both the Santa Monica and New York locations.

Don’t let the name fool you. Quiet Man may appear like a low-key company, but they enjoy a booming reputation. They are known for the high level of aesthetic and technical finesse they bring to their visual effects work. Their artistic reputation is supported by over 125 Superbowl spots and over 300 major industry awards.

Quiet Man has played a key role in creating some of advertising’s most familiar visual techniques, metaphors, and clichés. Their award-winning work on HBO’s “Chimps” spot, created by BBDO, New York, won the first Emmy award given to commercials.

Quiet Man also did the effects work for a comedy Fox Sports campaign from Cliff Freeman & Partners which won the Grand Prix at the International Advertising Festival in Cannes in 2001, while another Fox Sports campaign for the NBA won the top prize at the prestigious One Show that same year.

The company’s visual effects artists frequently collaborate with some of the best directors and editors in the industry. Co-founder Johnnie Semerad and the Quiet Man team have created some of the advertising world’s most acclaimed works. They include the “Free As A Bird” music video for The Beatles, a goldfish who plays dead for Pepsi, and a Clydesdale snowball fight for Budweiser.

In a recent collaboration with BBDO for the GE Ecomagination campaign, Quiet Man brings to life an elephant with the perfect balance of animation and realism in “Singin’ in the Rain.”
