Boards U is a full-day training event for agency producers and creatives about the art and process of commercial production. With an interest in informing this generation of producers and creatives, top international experts from different disciplines in the commercial production sector will develop presentations and take-home packages outlining the fundamentals of their business.

Enrollment in Boards U is open exclusively to agency (and freelance) producers, creatives, writers and art-directors, agency account executives and client-side marketers interested in learning the essentials of various disciplines of commercial production. There is a 200-student limit at Boards U.
*Boards U is not open to production companies or reps, ensuring that students receive objective information in a closed and controlled environment.

Fifteen A-level companies from different disciplines within the international commercial production community will work with former Head of Broadcast Production and leading production consultant, Paul Mavis, to develop objective presentations describing the fundamentals of their particular field. Presentations will be developed to give students an impartial appreciation for each particular field, leaving each student with a firm understanding of the actual work that goes in to commercial production. Upon completion, students are supplied with a comprehensive Boards U take-away binder encompassing the fundamentals of each presentation, agenda, curriculum and a glossary of terms from each class.

Boards U students will be given a student ID, which will allow them to log in and register for seven classes. On the day of the event, students receive Student ID cards and a Boards U Binder with dividers that correspond to each of the classes available at Boards U.

At each class, students are given a presentation package that includes the agenda, key concepts, a glossary of terms and other support materials from the presentation that is placed in the designated space in the Boards U Binder.

Aside from the seven scheduled classes, there are three hours in which students are invited to meet the other 'professors' and find out about other areas of commercial production. In order to 'graduate', students must visit each of the classes and obtain hand out packages to complete the Boards U Binder.
